Wyedean canoe and adventure centre has been operating in Symonds Yat East on the River Wye for over 35 years and are the leading canoe hire specialists and activity centres in the stunning Wye Valley.

We are a family owned & run business with a highly experienced Level 5 BCU Coach as a director, we offer adventure activity days; guided and self-led canoe hire river trips; canoe, kayak, SUP hire and instruction. From families to school groups and company away days our customers are diverse. We also offer improvised Raft Building, White Water Coaching, 1:1 coaching and much more. Get in touch if you are a passionate Outdoor Activity Instructor with some of the following qualifications and experience:
- Level 1 Paddle Sport Coach / Canoe and Kayak Coach SW / Slalom Coach
- British Canoeing 2 Star Award
- Previous experience instructing/coaching
- Valid first aid qualification - (Courses are available)
Further experience is desirable but not essential as further training, coaching and development is available:
- 3 Star canoe award / Open water Canoe Coach MW
- 3 Star kayak award / White Water Kayak Coach MW
- SPA/RCI and cave is also very desirable.
- Stand Up Paddleboard Coach SW / Stand Up Paddleboard White Water Coach MW
- Initial training with Wyedean canoe adventure centre consists of a 2 week induction programme to our centre and environmental requirements.
- Located adjacent to Grade 2 rapids we will provide comprehensive rapids coaching with a Level 5 BCU Coach, Wyedean specific canoe and kayak skills to provide high quality river trips and guiding to our customers on the River Wye.
