Description

The overall responsibility of an Activities Manager is to support the Centre Manager and manage all activities at the centre. Our Activity Managers are responsible for the running of the centre in the absence/day off of the Centre Manager.

You are required to liaise with the Centre Manager to ensure management of the activity team provides a safe, well-organized, motivated and happy activity environment for clients and team alike. Provide advice and assistance to less experienced/new instructors both on and off the water. You will work alongside the Centre Manager with staff inductions, training, appraisals, motivation and discipline.

You must ensure that all administrative and official duties are completed correctly and filed in the correct place and you will liaise with the Centre Manager and Overseas Facilities Coordinator to assist with the maintenance and upkeep of the centre and its equipment.

You will be in contact with teachers and parents to provide a high level of customer service to our clients and are required to run the centre in the absence of the Centre Manager and care taker role in absence of Manager in hours off.

Requirements

  • RYA Senior Instructor Sailing
  • RYA Start Windsurf Instructor
  • RYA First Aid
  • A personal experience or hold qualifications in the following: UKCC Level 1, MIAS Level 1, BSUP
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Motivated, flexible and professional person who will lead by example.
  • You should be a confident communicator, able to deliver information clearly to both individuals and to larger groups of clients and staff
  • Good customer service skills are essential
  • The ability to speak French would be an advantage but not a necessity
  • Ideally the successful candidate will have experience working in a management or senior role at a watersports centre and have experience in managing people of a variety of ages in a number of different roles
