Description

This is an incredible opportunity for someone to make their mark in the leisure industry. The Watersports Manager is responsible for leading a small team of staff to deliver exceptional standards of watersports, safety cover and customer service.

For this very important position, we’re looking for enthusiastic and approachable individuals with a substantial level of experience in the watersports industry. You’ll be able to lead the team to create a fun, professional and safe environment in which to deliver a range of activities to all our guests. Working under the Beach Clubs Manager, who oversees all of clubs, you will be responsible for the day to day operation of one club. You will supervise a team of approximately 7 - 10 staff.

Your primary aim is to provide a fun and safe environment for our customers to enjoy watersports. You will ensure that all activities are strictly adhering to Trek and RYA guidelines. You must have excellent knowledge of RYA procedures. If joining us from an ISA background RYA policies will form a key part of your induction and ongoing training.

You will be required to teach from time to time but the core part of your role is to supervise others and ensure that they teach to high standards at all times. You will lead by example and have a ‘hands on’ approach with everyday tasks. You will be pro-active in helping all instructors reach their full potential.

In addition to overseeing the daily watersports lessons and equipment use, you will also be responsible for such things as: arrival procedures, welcome speeches, childrens sessions, volleyball, evening socials.

You are the ‘face of the company’ as you will often be the first point of contact between the guests and the company. Excellent customer service and a friendly approachable style are incredibly important.

There will be regular administrative duties. Such as: rotas, bookings sheets, welcome letters, health & safety checks, staff logbooks, ordering and archiving accident forms. This role requires strong organisational skills. Training will be given but it is important to know that whilst this role is primarily customer facing and dealing with watersports provision, there are also essential admin duties.

For the right person this is an extremely rewarding role with a great mix of socialising, people management, admin skills and on-water time. Having FUN whilst working to exceptional standards and achieving great results is the name of the game!
